Final Miami Bridge Implosion Coming Up!

The final Miami River Bridge implosion is scheduled for Wednesday, November 11, at 7 a.m.

If you didn't get a chance to see the other two, this is your last opportunity. The bridge is being imploded to make way for construction of a new bridge. In the end, the only remaining structure of the previous bridge will be the piers, which will be used on the new structure.

We hope to see you there!

Miami Bridge Implosion Scheduled for Tuesday

If you missed the chance to see the first implosion of the Miami River Bridge, you will get another chance come Tuesday, November 3, at 8 a.m.

MoDOT will be imploding the second span of the bridge to make way for crews to begin constructing a new bridge structure. This implosion is part two of a three stage implosion process.

Miami Bridge Implosion Scheduled

It's now that time again for another bridge to be imploded over the majestic Missouri River. This time the candidate is the Miami River Bridge in Miami, Missouri. The bridge will be imploded on Tuesday, Oct. 27, at 8 a.m.

Last year the Glasgow River Bridge in Glasgow, Missouri was imploded. This implosion will be very similar as crews begin the process of tearing down the metal structure to make way for a new bridge deck. The existing piers will be left in place for use on the new structure.

Come see the implosion tomorrow or check out the project's website at www.modot.mo.gov/northcentral/miamibridgeproject.htm.
